Hi There! I’m a New York-based designer and developer. My Focus is simple: to provide clean, functional and quality designs to support local business and develop lasting relationships.
Born in Germany, I grew up surrounded by good design. Thanks to the support of my teachers and family I was able to explore my talents early on and my interest in graphic design and technology developed naturally. Shortly after going to university I received a scholarship which brought me to New York for the very first time ’05. There I started as a junior designer on Converse, Nike and MPDI projects. After receiving my degree I returned to the city working as designer and developer on major accounts including Altus Capital Partners and Yale University Art Gallery.
I believe that a good successful project is as much about managing time and budget as it is about the quality of design and content. As such, I approach every project, regardless of scale or budget, with the same rigor and discipline, customizing the process and designing things that work. In an industry moving more and more towards standardization—offering more of the same or just pushing some high-faluting designs on you—it’s an approach that works.
I give my clients open, honest and personal service. I work with a diverse group of individuals and agencies representing a wide range of industries. I build healthy working relationships by taking the time to understand their needs, goals, and customers. Each of my clients projects becomes personal, which is why even the smallest detail counts. I like clean lines, straight forward conversation and exploring new things.
Why I am different — Unlike most web-developers I started out with a traditional graphic design education. I once spent the better part of two months type-setting a 116p. book in a letterpress. So when it comes down to typography I know what I am talking about. After 5½ years in design schools I am holding a degree in communications and design (with honors). Having a traditional art foundation combined with real-world branding experience I can look at your whole picture, applying thinking to design and design to thinking.
